Wilson Community Development Corporation (Wilson CDC) is Rooted in Resilience.
Much like Wilson the volleyball in Castaway, our name symbolizes survival, perseverance, and the will to “make it through” even the most difficult challenges.
From the hardships of homelessness, to the stability of supportive housing, and ultimately to the promise of affordable housing, Wilson CDC was born from lived experience and the belief that everyone deserves a place to call home.
With deep ties to housing equity, Wilson CDC reflects a vision shaped by real challenges and transformative growth.
Our leadership represents the very communities we serve, bringing unique perspectives and a collective strength to advancing housing equity and community development.
Today, Wilson CDC is recognized as a Culturally Specific Organization, which means our programs are intentionally designed by and for the communities most impacted by housing inequities.
We understand the importance of cultural identity, lived experience, and community voice in shaping effective solutions.
This foundation allows us to provide services that are not only responsive, but also deeply relevant and trusted.
Our diverse team of leaders brings lived experience spanning Oregon’s Pacific Northwest coast to the Islands of Hawai‘i, grounding our work in cultural wisdom, resilience, and representation.
Together, we carry forward a mission rooted in equity and empowerment—breaking down systemic barriers, expanding access to safe and affordable housing, and building pathways for thriving, sustainable futures.
