Supportive Housing: Trauma-Informed & Housing First
At Wilson CDC, our Supportive Housing program is built on the belief that everyone deserves a safe and stable home as the foundation for healing and growth. Using a Housing First model, we prioritize immediate access to housing without preconditions, ensuring that residents can begin their journey toward stability with dignity and security.
Our approach is also rooted in trauma-informed care, recognizing that many residents have faced significant adversity. We create supportive environments that emphasize safety, choice, trust, and empowerment, while offering wraparound services such as case management, wellness resources, and community connections.
By combining Housing First principles with a trauma-informed lens, Wilson CDC helps residents not only remain housed but also rebuild their lives with resilience, dignity, and hope.
We meet residents where they are, honoring their journey and walking beside them toward lasting stability. True community is built when every voice is heard, every story is valued, and every person belongs.
Housing is more than a roof — it’s the foundation for dignity, healing, and opportunity. Everyone deserves access to safe spaces, essential resources, and opportunities to thrive. Wilson CDC's Supportive Housing Program supports the Housing First model with Trauma Informed Care principles.
Our Eviction-Prevention Measures is not about doing for, but about doing with — empowering individuals to thrive in their own way. Every resource shared is a step toward stability, resilience, and hope.
